Here are the details fellow Barr Nunn Gang members....
We are meeting at Brad and Deanna's, AKA gang leaders, on Friday, September 14. This year we have a special addition.....AIR CONDITIONING!!! Matt and Sami will provide a luxury extra bedroom for the first guests to respond. Second place winners will be provided a bed/couch in the gang leaders 5th wheel. Also available are 3 queen size beds in the newly air conditioned house. WARNING....there will be 3 teenage girls and 2 younger children sleeping in the house.
Saturday morning breakfast will be provided at 7 AM sharp!! Pastor Dustin will be leading us in a word of prayer and blessing our trip at 7:45. The bikers should rev up their engines at 7:55 and depart at 8 AM.
We will travel on scenic highway 36 towards Eureka for 181 miles (approx 3 1/2 hours). We will stop for gas somewhere along the way. Once we reach our luxurious hotel in Fortuna (the Travel Inn) we will stop and pay for our rooms which have been reserved. The cost per room for 4 people (2 queens) is $79 plus tax per room or approximately $45 per couple. We may not be able to enjoy our beautiful rooms until later because we are on a tight schedule! We are trying to squeeze in as much fun as possible.
Lunch will be enjoyed at Samoa Cookhouse, specially requested by Cowboy Hank. Cost is $12.95 per person. For those special senior gang members, you will receive a 10% discount!! This restaurant serves family style meals.
We will then travel 68 miles north on Hwy 101 through the Redwood Forest to the Trees of Mystery. For $15 per person you will experience an 8/10ths of a mile groomed interpretive trail through the awe-inspiring Redwoods of Northern California. They offer a shuttle to Sky Trail for those who cannot easily walk the trail. The breathtaking gondola ride is also included in the low low price of $15. You don't want to miss this!!
We can enjoy each others company during dinner at The Forest Cafe, which is a unique and amazing dining experience. The dining room reflects the natural wonders and beauty of the Redwood Country.
After dinner we will head back to the Travel Inn to play games and continue the fun.
