With some job changes happening for our lead organizer, after more than 9 years of bringing you regular Blues events in one form or another, Sacre Blues is going on an indefinite hiatus. Once schedules settle down a bit, we intend to take stock and evaluate what events we might run in the future. But this Friday's online hangout is going to be our last hurrah for a bit.
If you want to join us to celebrate a great 9+ years of Blues together, we'd love to see you virtually! Rather than having just one DJ for the night, we'd like to throw open the invitation for anyone who's been a part of Sacre Blues events over the years to share a few favorite songs. If you'd like to volunteer to DJ a mini set at some point in the evening, comment here or send us a message and we'll work you into the roster.
Of course, if you're looking for good Blues around Columbus in our absence, you've got lots of options. Ember Blues and Fusion Columbus has been running local dance events. And of course, keep an eye out for all of our favorite bands (John Henry & The Rainmakers, Deuce 'n a Quarter, Lil Red & The Rooster, Change It Up Charlie, just to name a few - if I forgot you, I probably haven't been seeing your events recently, so please share them!). If you don't already know about Columbus Blues Alliance, they're a great resource for keeping track of live Blues music in the area.
Thank you to everyone who's supported us over the years. Dancers, DJs, musicians, and everyone else - you have been what's made all of this work worth it.
