🚨 MISSOURI CUT $4 MILLION FROM FREE BOOKS FOR KIDS

Missouri just slashed state funding for Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library from nearly $6 million to roughly $2 million.

The program was putting a free, age-appropriate book in the mailbox of Missouri children every month—from birth through age 5.
And the impact was HUGE:

📚 Nearly 170,000 Missouri children were enrolled. 📚 More than 4.3 million books had been delivered since the program launched statewide in 2023. 📚 Families paid nothing.

Now? Because of the budget reduction, new enrollment was frozen beginning July 1, 2026. Children already enrolled can continue receiving books, but only as long as the remaining funding lasts.

Think about that.

A program designed to put books in the hands of children—regardless of their family's income—was cut by more than half.

Whatever your political party is, investing in early childhood literacy should be one of the easiest things for Missouri to agree on.

Books aren't a luxury.
They're an investment in the next generation. 📚❤️

Thank you for everyone who did their thing at the Grateful Bear Campout this past weekend.

We met some amazing souls who came together for a greater good, despite the obstacles we faced at the beginning.

We feel overly blessed for the opportunity and met some of the most beautiful souls in the world.
