As Christmas rolls around this year, we have so many moments to reflect on. We created a special place that left an impression on just about everyone that entered our doors. We were there for engagements, graduations, bachelorette parties, a night out with the girls, first dates, last night before a relocation, and many more. We’ve danced, laughed, and cried together. So many things. You were there to support us during our first closing, our relocation, our reopening, our loss of our beloved father and finally in our last closing. We couldn’t have lasted 14 years without you. We’ve had people suggest we try a GoFundMe to keep our dream alive, but being raised as strong, independent women, it’s been hard to go for it. Our Dad would have already started one, he was one of the best fundraisers we ever met and as he’s always been our biggest inspiration, it has crossed our minds many times. You never know until you ask, so here it goes. If we decided to ask for help, would you help us? We had over 385,000 people see our announcement post, and I watched it as it went viral for Columbia, it’s rare to get numbers like that here. You showed us love and support we never knew we had, and friends started saying imagine if each of those people just gave you a dollar, you’d have what you need to keep your father’s dream going on forever. came to mind when we closed the first location and how we weren’t sure if we would be able to keep it going. Maybe it’s time to ask for help. Maybe it’s time to say we went out with a bang. Maybe it’s time to fight for our dream. Maybe our Dad is sitting here with me while I type this message. He wouldn’t want us to give up. What are your thoughts? Share with us your favorite memories of The Woody. Share with us how our father impacted your life. Share the happiness you felt at The Woody. Share the love. We love you and appreciate everything you’ve done for us over the years. We wish you a Merry Christmas from The Windham and Woody family.
