Everyone,
We’re trying to share our half of the story here within this post.
Sorry it took this long - we stated in the post however, we all work during the day and we all prefer to communicate slowly and diligently.
Some information being shared is completely false, some is speculation, some is fact and some information is untold completely.
Since we made the post announcing the agreement and change of ownership we’ve been asked tons of questions and have had tons of defaming comments targeted at us, personally and professionally... over commentary and details that aren’t truthful. Please let us try to explain our half of the story in further detail.
There is a rumor going around the community that the new ownership is dedicated to erasing social media content on this page. That is false. We are not going to delete content. Our goal is to contribute more and showcase all local entertainers and local show opportunities that have cast members from Yin Yang in them.
If you follow Nclusion Plus, you probably see that we post positive content daily. The intention here is to keep the Yin Yang Night Club social media accounts up and active, promoting everyone you know and love, whether Nclusion has a hand in production or not.
Obviously, we can’t and won’t further share post information or show marketing materials for entertainers who ask us not to, like what occurred today. That is your right to decline the support we are trying to offer. Our group also recognizes this as a way of honoring talent that is working independently and/or with other organizations, while still having a root attached to the stage of Yin Yang. We hope that by sharing information, caring about the success of your shows, and using our combined efforts and resources to honor those who cast us down... that it will show we do still care... we don’t want this negative conflict to continue... and we hope the future of the community will be one where we all succeed, all care for each other again, and even have a chance to work on the same stage or projects. There will always be an olive branch extended. Anyone can join as a performer, if you aren't already by submitting your information to: www.nclusionplus.com/new-performer
We’re sorry that this decision has hurt some or dug up old feelings that may have scared people for what might happen. That is not our intention.
Nclusion has worked hard to promote shows over the last year. However, the performers we are paying could benefit and make more money from ALL their fans knowing where to find them. None of them could announce that to the Yin Yang audience and now we can share that info with everyone.
Speaking of entertainer pay... when Nclusion started, we had a great batch of friends help us with nothing but the desire to be creative. We have long stood against “tip spots” and even paid $5 of $10 to help even though no one asked for it in the beginning. As a start up company that bootstrapped this from our savings - every week we balanced “paying more” and “investing in better production opportunities”. Both cost something. Eventually we got show pay budgets to average $25 per performer. Some nights we had less than 5 people in the audience and we lost money- but we thanked everyone for sharing their talents with us and with others. Simultaneously, we upgraded lights and speakers and a stage to try to provide a resemblance of what it should be like. While we may be criticized for investing in the business (in a way we hope will bring more audience so that we can further raise show pay and the amount of tips taken home by each entertainer)... we have constantly paid people something- and up until recently never had any tip spots. Aren’t tip spots a normal thing at a club though? Entertaining for less than $25? What we realized along the way, was that we need a tier for talent show pay to justify experience and acumen against “time in the biz”. But, that’s in the works. Moreover, we’ve created merchandise and ticket profit share systems with our Influencers to grant everyone a way to make more while we all pour work into this together.
It’s demoralizing that we were customers, friends, patrons, and attended more than once in a while. Most of us were there once or twice a week. Yin Yang was our home, our escape, and the place we “came out”, made memories, found each other and more. We’re not random strangers - we were just sitting in the audience loving everything on stage.
I’m sure there are still unanswered questions. We just hope you all give us a chance and time.
