Colfax Dash, Dine & Dance 5K and Spring Fling Event benefiting Colfax Elementary PTA on Friday, May 15, 2015, 5-8 pm. Fun for the entire family!

Dash, Dine, & Dance is a 5k & 1 mile run/walk hosted by Colfax Elementary School PTA. The run and following festival is a fundraiser for The Colfax PTA in which we hope to raise monies for the school while promoting a healthy and active lifestyle within our community. There will also be a festival where you can shop local artisans and craft vendors, participate in a silent auction, dance and enjoy live music from Big, Bang, Boom, and enjoy delicious fare from food truck vendors.

It's a great day for a run! Come join us for our 5k or one mile mini-dash. You can still register at the event. Registration and check-in begin at 4:30. 5k start is at 6:00 and mini-dash start is at 6:10..

Want to hit some balls at the Greensboro Batting Center or go rowing with the High Point Rowing Club or swim/exercise at the Sportscenter Athletic Club or take horseback riding lessons or have a party at Tiger Kim's? Just a few samples of the many silent auction items we have up for auction at tomorrow night's Dash, Dine & Dance 5k and festival. Want tickets to a Greensboro Grasshoppers game or the Wake Forest v NC State Football game or season tickets to UNCG Basketball? We've got those! Want to throw a pie in Mrs, Thigpen or Mrs. Kimsey's faces? You can bid on that also! Plus many other great items! Silent auction opens at 5 pm and closes at 8 pm.

Parking for Friday's Colfax Dash, Dine & Dance 5k and Festival will be as follows:
We request that teachers and volunteers park around the gym (fill up the areas in the way back and on the grass and gravel areas first), and we want families that are racing to fill up those areas as well. Once those areas are full, we request that runners then park in the regular school parking lot. We are going to close the bus parking lot right after dismissal to keep that free and ensure the other lots are filled first. Once the race starts, we will close the regular school parking lot, since the start/finish of the race will go through this entry. The bus parking lot will be opened during the race for non-racers to park. There will be parking attendants on duty to direct the flow of traffic. See you all tomorrow night! Come Dash, Dine & Dance with us!

4:00 Vendor Set-up
4:30 5k/Mini-Dash registration and check-in begins
5:00 Mobile Jukebox DJ begins playing
5:00 Vendors, Silent Auction and Food Trucks open
5:30 Sock Hop for warm-up (PE classes)
6:00 5k Official start
6:10 Mini-Dash/Walk official start
6:15 Big Bang Boom starts playing
8:00 Silent Auction closes

Event is open to the public. Free Admission.
Bring chairs or blankets.
5k runs Rain or Shine. Festival will be inside in the case of rain.
Fun for the entire family!

Come to Friday's Dash, Dine & Dance hungry! You can taste great items from our food trucks and vendors. We will have delicious fare from Giadas Trattoria, Kona Ice of Kernersville, Taqueria El Azteca & Taco Truck, Truckin' with Tipsy'z, and other vendors. See you all there!
