A message to the Dirty Jack's family, friends, and fans from Tim Jones:
"I would like to personally thank all the people, bands, and hip hop performers who have supported Dirty Jacks over the past three years. Although our present circumstances are what they are, we are working on possibly moving the club to a better locale, and are exploring all of our options so please don't lose hope. We may be able to figure this out and reopen in a better locale, as we all know Elmwood is not the place to be. Please stay posted to our page for further info. This is not over..............................I love you all"

A BIG Thank You for all the comments, posts, threads on various pages, text messages, and phone calls. The outpouring of love is tremendous. I would like to clear up one thing: The recent events due to hip hop shows DID NOT kill Dirty jack's. The Elmwood Police told us that the biggest reasons Elmwood Council wanted Dirty jack's gone is 1) Loitering-The people hanging outside the venue during the shows, really got on their nerves. So, you couldn't smoke inside the venue because of state law. Yet, because of Elmwood law, you couldn't stand outside either. It was a No Win situation. 2)The Noise-The VFW next door was constantly coming in and complaining about the noise (and VFWs traditionally have alot of pull with city councils). The police had been in numerous times telling us they were getting calls about the noise. Whether it was hip hop, death metal, punk, or whatever. Our sound system rocked and Elmwood wasn't happy about it. So basically, we were in what looked like a no win situation and succeeded for as long as we could. Thank you again to everyone that made this a joyous ride.

Well folks, the township of Elmwood has officially won. Dirty Jack's is being forced to close its doors after tomorrow's show (Wednesday Oct 19). Stop on up and hang with us one more time if you are so moved to do so. We would like to extend a HUGE "Thank You" to everyone that made this rollercoaster ride an always entertaining one and we are happy and grateful to all the friends we have made that we would otherwise have never met had it not been for this bar. Its been a fun run but the time has come to move on. "Good Luck" with all your future endeavors from the Dirty Jack's Gang.
