MEZCAL BARREL AGED MALÖRT IS HERE. We’ve teamed up with SACRED and SiKanda - Solidaridad Internacional Kanda AC and $10 from each bottle of mezcal-barrel-aged Malört will be donated to SiKanda, AC. Since 2009, SiKanda has been supporting under-served communities of Oaxaca. Almost 5,000 people annually see their lives improved by this Mexican NGO. They’ve built and stocked six green libraries and four rain-harvest hygiene stations, benefiting around 800 children and youth. They’ve provided training and coaching for over 120 female entrepreneurs in starting or growing their own businesses, and much of that work has been done with the recycler communities that have grown around the garbage dump sites in Zaachila. Come out and celebrate with us this Saturday, November 27th, as we release our collaborations with Standard Meadery! Adam and Lindsay, from Standard Meadery, and Tyrus from, CH Distillery/Jeppson's, will be at the CH Distillery Bar + Table from 4pm-7pm to hang out and answer any questions you may have. There will be very limited amounts of our collaboration melomel, Hive Mind, and our bourbon that was finished in a bourbon barrel that Standard Meadery aged a bochet (caramelized mead) in.

On behalf of CH Distillery & Standard Meadery, We'd also like to recognize and thank Won Kim for blessing us both with his artistic talents and for connecting us with other passionate artists! Won has designed labels for both the Distillery and the Meadery, He's painted our walls on multiple occasions, and is just an all around amazing guy! The label for Hive Mind was designed by Won and we couldn't be happier with how the finished bottles look! Give Won a follow on IG:

Hive Mind is a boysenberry and cherry melomel which has jammy qualities from the boysenberries which pairs perfectly with the acid and tannins from the cherries.

For our bourbon collaboration, the staff from Standard Meadery came in one afternoon and tasted through many barrels. They ended up landing on 2 barrels that they fell in love with, and decided to finish one of them in an ex-bourbon barrel that they aged a bochet in. The 5yr7mo bourbon was finished for an additional 3 months in the bochet barrel and the finished product is left with a bold and spicy bourbon with lovely caramel and honey notes from the bochet. The bourbon was bottled at barrel strength which came out to be 59.5% abv.

If you have ever been to Standard Meadery, one of their most popular cocktails is their Pilsen Punch (Malort, Grapefruit juice, Grapefruit session mead, and a rosemary sprig) Come in, make a purchase and sample this fantastic cocktail! We'll also be selling Malort + Grapefruit Session bundles as well!
