An intimate 15 seat speakeasy hidden inside FieldHouse Jones, Janitor’s Closet serves up craft cocktails and good vibes in the River North neighborhood. The bar pays homage to what the space used to be, a fully functioning janitor’s closet when the building housed the old Borden Dairy Depot. Lead Bar Man Jef Tate offers his own personal riffs on classic and neo-classic cocktails with a focus on housemade syrups, infused liquors, sodas, and garnishes. The wine and beer list will be equally as funky as the vibe, working with hyper-local breweries like Middle Brow and Hopewell out of Logan Square and weird esoteric wines like crisp Petillant and amphora fermented reds from Portugal. Janitor’s Closet is open Tuesday through Saturday from 5 p.m. to 1 a.m. and reservations can be made via Resy.
