JOIN US JULY 11th AS WE WELCOME MASHA ABAPOLNIKOVA TO CHARLOTTESVILLE TANGO: We are so excited to offer workshops with Masha this summer. With more than 15 years of experience as a professional tango dancer and teacher, Masha is known for her engaging teaching style, musicality, and effortless connection. Masha is the co-founder of Fábrica Tango Academy, one of the leading tango schools 🏫 in the Washington DC area. Masha has immersed herself in studying both leading and following roles and switches seamlessly between both. She is passionate about finding the unique key to improvement for each student. She emphasizes individual technique and natural movement as the foundation for a deep tango connection. Join Masha for workshops Saturday, July 11th in Studio 11 (12:00-2:30) at the McGuffey Art Center in downtown Charlottesville (swipe to see the schedule). SAVE THE DATE: Mini Tango Weekend with DC Tangueras! Mark your calendars for Saturday, July 11th! Charlottesville Tango welcomes Masha Abapolnikova for afternoon workshops (12-2:30p) and an evening Milonga (7:30-11:30p) with DJ Yulia Kriskovets! ✨ We’re so excited to welcome these DC artists to Cville 🚨 Bonus: Pre-Milonga Open-Level Class with Masha. TOTAL BEGINNER SERIES PART 2 STARTS THURSDAY 6/4: Join us in Studio 11 for Part 2 of our total beginner series. We will recap content from May and jump into new figures, techniques, and concepts. Lessons take place at 6:30-7:30 on Thursdays. Beginner Práctica from 7:30-7:45. No partner required! Smooth soled shoes recommended (in this series we will explore pivots and giros (turns) so shoes with rubber soles are not recommended. $40 for 4 weeks. Intermediate lessons start at 7:45! Plus, hang out afterwards for open Práctica from 8:45 followed by drinks downtown 🍸And remember, it’s never too late to learn Argentine Tango! See you soon 👍

JOIN US THURSDAY 5/28 for an extended Open Level Práctilonga! New to tango? Never been to a social dance (ie. a Milonga)? Join Sarah and Nathan in Studio 11 this Thursday from 6:30-7:00p and learn the ins and outs of attending a tango social dance. This class is designed as beginner’s introduction to the structure and social norms of a Milonga including how to get dances, what to wear, where to sit, and one thing you should never ever do… ☝️ Plus, we will be answering all your most burning questions! Our monthly open level Práctilonga starts at 7p and is the perfect opportunity to put your new knowledge into practice. Dancers of all levels are encouraged to join us from 7:00-9:00 ($10 at the door) for a mix of tango, milonga, and vals. We can’t wait to see you on the dance floor!
