THE INTERMISSION 🎶
Over the past year and a half, Eighty Eights has become so much more than a coffee shop or a jazz lounge. It has become a gathering place for artists, music lovers, dreamers, and a community that believed in what we were building long before we knew exactly what it would become.
Today, we’re excited to share that Eighty Eights is entering its next chapter.
As part of a consolidation of ownership and a renewed vision for the future, we will be temporarily closing from June 22nd through July 8th to complete the ownership transition and make several improvements to the space.
This isn’t just a break.
It’s an intermission.
A moment to pause, reset, and prepare for what’s next.
During this time, we’ll be working behind the scenes to strengthen the foundation of Eighty Eights, enhance the venue, introduce exciting new Thursday night programming, and continue shaping the experience we believe Charlotte deserves.
To every guest who joined us for a show, every artist who shared their talent from our stage, every regular who made us part of their routine, and every person who supported us along the way… thank you.
Your belief in this place is the reason we have the opportunity to take this next step.
When the curtain rises again, we’ll return with the same soul, the same commitment to live music and hospitality, and an even stronger vision for what Eighty Eights can become.
Before we step into The Intermission, we’re celebrating with one final week of incredible performances from many of your favorite local artists BLACKHAWK Pocket Scotch K. Omari Wilkerson Sanpriest M. Patton and Braxton Bateman Then, on Tuesday, June 22nd, Sir Abstra### Velvet Verses will help us close this chapter and send us into the intermission in style.
