‼️ The VIKING LOUNGE is officially BACK OPEN! 🍻

After a grueling 30 days of dust, sweat, and an unhealthy amount of all-nighters, we are throwing open the doors today (Tuesday, May 26th) at 11:00 AM.

We poured an incredible amount of love into the "behind-the-scenes" details to make the place run better than ever, but you will definitely spot some great new visual updates the second you walk in! We’re still putting the finishing touches on a few things, so you’ll see even more small projects rolling out over the next few weeks while we’re open.

Don't worry, though. We knew better than to pull a major overhaul. Our legacy as your favorite neighborhood dive bar since 1972 is sacred. The cozy, legendary vibe you love is exactly the same—just with a little extra love under the hood.

We have to take a second to say a massive, heartfelt THANK YOU to everyone who lent a hand, and to those beautiful souls who dropped off food and treats to keep us fueled when we forgot what sleep was. Your kind words and absolute devotion to this place mean the world to us. The Viking is nothing without our incredible patrons and the memories we make here.

We are so ready to get back into the swing of things. Come on down today for great food, cold drinks, and the absolute best company in town.

And yes... 🎤 Karaoke is back in action this Wednesday through Saturday as always!

To Our Valued Friends and Patrons,

We are writing to share some important news regarding the Viking Lounge. As we would like to be transparent and let you know of timeframes so you can mark your calendars and come in this week and support.

Starting Sunday, April 26th through Monday, May 25th, we will be undergoing a mandatory temporary shutdown. Closing our doors, even for a short time, is never easy, and we sincerely regret any inconvenience this may cause your schedules and social plans. We truly value the time you spend with us, and we are going to miss the energy and conversations that fill our space every day and night.

Since 1972, the Viking Lounge have been proud to serve as a stable foundation for this neighborhood — a place where generations have gathered to share stories, sing, dance, play, eat and have a drink (or two, or three, or…). While this pause is necessary, please know that we are more committed than ever to being your go-to spot for many more decades to come.

While the lights are dimmed this month, we’ll be hard at work. We are using this time to tackle various maintenance tasks and updates to the building, ensuring our long-standing roots stays strong and welcoming for the long haul.

We want to express our deepest gratitude for your continued support and loyalty. You are the heart of what we do, and we can’t wait to see all of your familiar faces again very soon!
