Hoedowners Square-Up News - August 31, 2025

Rod continued to review plus calls throughout the Hoedowners dance last Sunday and then held class time afterwards. Our beginners are almost ready to graduate and join in with the club dance!

In fact, Rod is starting a brand new beginners class this Saturday (September 6th) at Whirl & Twirl. The time is 3:00-4:00.

Jerry led a fun line dance and had a significant number of dancers on the floor. When it was time for the 50/50 drawing, Carolyn & Jean Gray were the happy winners. Retta won the $2 coupon. Congratulations!

This Sunday will be the first dance in September, so come wearing your pretty blue & white club colors and let's dance!

We had just enough dancers last Sunday to form three squares. We enjoyed several of Rod's fun tips along with some recorded round dances and an awesome line dance led by Jean & Carolyn. Thank you to our dance leaders! And welcome home, Jerry & Margaret!

Happy birthday to Alice and Andreas this week! Hopefully we can give you some yellow rocks this week!

Rod taught a good class last Sunday, and our new dancers are learning quickly. There will be no class this week (July 20th) but we'll continue the following Sunday.

We'll have no dance on August 3rd, so mark your calendars! We are dancing this Sunday, though, so join us!
