I've been struggling to get back into training and staying consistent. It's been rough for a few years due to my career, my business and some health issues.
This day was some of the best drill training I've done in quite a while. An hour of teep, knee and elbow drills. We ended the session with teep faint & kick combos, 20 per leg.
I took this video after that session to capture what to work on, not to get me kicking the farts out of Rich lol.
So here's a few points I feel I should work on and improve:
• Hip flexibility/mobility (really observed during my teeps)
• Hand positioning during kicks
• Should've drove my hands more forward as well as my knee during the faint (looked lazy)
• Faster and more fluid transition from faint to kick
• Probably could have pivoted more to open up my hips and drive my kicks through the target more
Some good points I feel I had:
• Distancing with my skip during the faint
• Strong kicks
• Mostly controlled and balanced while returning to my stance after my kicks
