New-Type Models

New-Type Models Hi, New-type Models is a one-person shop that sells completed plastic models and does commissioned work on plastic models. Hi, Im Vick. Thank you for visiting!

I have been building Gundam models since 2002. Over the years I continued to build these models and developed skills in modeling. I made this to service anime fans of mecha series' who want the models but don't feel they want to invest in the time, or if they are not capable of completing them. I customize models but can also just do a clean look to a model. One way to think of this is buying Mech

a figures that can be customized, whether its a different color scheme or a "battle-damaged" request. details on price and shipping have been pinned to the top of this page. If you have any questions, feel free to call the number provided.

A F 22 raptor painted in the colors of "Wizard" squadron from Ace Combat: Zero. Its been fun taking a break from gundam models and building the older glue and paint kits. I used a toothpick to paint the small details in the cockpit. Im happy with the overall work.

Hey Y'all! This is a MG Force Impulse alternate paint scheme with battle worn painting effects. This one was mostly done by my best friend whom I recently got hooked into gunpla. I thought her construction was good enough and taught her how to paint. I actually wanted the paint scheme to be Gray, Black, White, and Yellow (the paint scheme of Belkan flag from the Ace Combat Series), but the store was out of yellow paint, so I got olive green instead. The dark tone schemes really give an ominous feel the model. In addition the new paint scheme, I used Black, Silver, and Brown paint for weathering. The project credits are as follows:

Construction of Body: Her
Construction of Backpack: Me
Base coat paints: Me
Weathering effects: Both
Touch Up: Me

It was a lot of fun to make a gundam model with someone else , especially when it turned out so nice.

Hey everyone. Heres a larger set of projects to make up for the lost time. I tried doing planes because of the lack of gunpla that interest me. They are from Hasegawa models and make their kits with high quality plastic. As for the Bael, I tried to do something new with the battle worn effect. The MG 1/100 providence is a mid-production version including bare limbs and some rust and oil effects. The rest of the pictures are assorted projects that I thought were interesting.

I was asked to display some gunpla at Elite Battlegrounds which is a game store in New Jersey. The owner was very encouraging about the idea especially because they also sell gunpla. Its an exciting occasion for me.

After a long break, i went back to gunpla. 1) is a Mg freedom 2.0, i decided to to a similar battle-scarred ver. That i did with the last freedom. I was more meticulous with the saber-cut wings effect. Its a cool effect and a great way to save on paneling paint. 2) this one is from something called majestic prince, i dont know anything of the serious or if it is a series. It was at a local shop and i thought it looked cool. Also kotobukiya makes fantastic kits. 3) a MG gundam fenice rinastica painted belka colors from Ace combat 5. I thought the original color scheme for the kit was lackluster, so out came to paint.

Hello! I know its been along time since last post. Ive been trying to find cool things to build. There hasnt been a model that has made me excited to build in a long time. But i was on spring break and bought some stuff. First is the SD ex-standard Wing Zero Custom. It was $7. I can live with that. The shop owner was telling me that they are less "chibi" SD models and more like the action figure line with the same name. Which is cool because i like that realistic/cartoony hybrid style. Second is a straight build gundam DX. The DX is something i never was excited about, but it was a model i never build before. I really like its construction and its pretty stable when done. The third is an Exia Dark Matter. Ive been on the fence about this kit. The design is cool but the color scheme had too much red. I decided to spray paint some parts to make it better. Turned out all i had to spray paint was the top part of the shoulder pad grey and it looked more distinct. So this is more of a straight build with slight coloring. I enjoyed building it too. Anyway, sorry for the delay.

It's been a while; busy with life things. Some new stuff I've been working on. I was really impressed by the Pokemon plastic models. I hope they produce more of them. Then there are the bandai exclusives Red Zeta and Banshee Norn MG.

Kitbash of Strike Freedom and Astray Dragoon system. I've seen work on strike freedom with aile backpacks so I wanted to give it a try. I haven't done a custom in a while, although there wasn't much altered. I painted the red into navy blue/gray to match the backpack and weathered it because no gundam is ever clean.

Started to get into non gundam robot models. This is the Beserk Furher from Zoids Zero Century. This is the HMM Kotobukiya line. It is completely different from those zoid model they sold at Toys R Us 10 years ago. This is my second Kotobukiya kit the first being the Armored Core Stasis. Although I have done two Kotobukiya models, I will say that these kits are more challenging on the construction. With straight builds there is so much work into building but very little needed for panel lines and other details. I would say the complexity would be more than a MG gundam and a little less than PG gundam. I look forward to customizing some Kotobukiya stuff.

Was at my local model hobby shop yesterday and decided to try something not gundam. I picked up an Ohmer Stasis from Armored Core. Just a straight build. Its snap fit but very fragile so glue is recommended for reinforcement. All in all it was an exciting kit to build. Probably because it was different. If you want more of a challenge than gunpla, try out armored core models

The RG 00 Raiser. I think it's the best kit construction of any 00 raiser. The raiser cannons are weighted properly unlike the MG. All the joints are firm, contrary to my previous experience with some RGs (particularly shields). In my opinion the RG line has more detail than MG and some of the PGs.

Gets 5/5 Haros.
