Anyone feeling pineapple-ish? I do!
Here are two interesting concoctions to explore the sweet flavor of a pineapple.
Go to the store and get one: You'll need it.

Surfer on acid
- 1 ozJägermeister
- 1 oz Coconut Rum
- 1.5 oz lPineapple Juice (fresh pressed)
And you garnish with a pineapple frond (this is key!)

Goombay smash
- 2 oz Dark Rum
- 1/2 oz Cointreau
- 3/4 oz Coconut Rum
- 3 oz Pineapple Juice
- 1/4 oz lLime Juice
And you garnish with a pineapple wedge

Yup. You drank too much. That's probably the reason why you are making now a Bloody Mary.
No mix please!

Here's the recipe
- 1.5 oz Vodka
- 3 oz Tomato sauce
- 1/2 oz Lemon juice
- 4 dashes Worcestershire sauce
- 10 dashes of Tabasco
- Pepper
- Celery Salt
Garnish: Olive, onion, cherry tomatos on stick. Pickles. Celery Stick. Bacon flavored salt on the rim

El bar de Fer had the pleasure of hosting a lovely asado (argentinian barbecue) party in the amazing and quaint neighborhood of Park Slope, in Brooklyn.

Cocktail-wise we did some margaritas but also in the pics, Aviation and classic Martini.

Food-wise...Oh well. You ready? 4 types of chorizo: Salt & pepper, cajun andouille, spanish and argentinian. Then marinated chicken, filet mignon, NY strips, Flank steaks and picaña!
And there was of course some Sancerre & some champagne

This past Saturday I had the pleasure of bartending (and enjoying) a magnificent party in Greenpoint, Brooklyn.
The rooftop was amazing and don't believe me, just check the pics :)

For the first time, el bar de Fer was on the road with a limited sub-set of tools and liqueurs, but was able to deliver amazing cocktails for the guests.
The star was the Cosmopolitan (in the picture) and in 2nd place the Aviation

I was introduced to this delicious drink just today, pour mon amie française Clarisse Pertout.
The name? Ti' punch.

Apparently the most popular drink throughout the French west indies (never been, but always in the bucket list). The name stands for petite punch and is a triumph of simplicity.
I found multiple imprecise recipes. The essence is rum, syrup and lime so here's my recipe:

Shaken, served on the rocks
- 2 oz Golden spiced Rum
- 1 oz Freshly squeeze lime juice
- 1.5 oz Simple syrup (1:1)
Garnish: A lime slice.

Creole Resolution
- 1 sugar cube
- 1/4 oz grenadine
- 1 oz Lillet
- 3 oz Champagne
Garnished with an orange twist

Lillet Spritz
- 2 oz lillet
- 2 oz gin
- 1 oz lemon juice
- 1/2 oz simple syrup
- 2 oz soda

If you noticed that this bar has shown no activity, is because we've been busy!
We left Midtown Manhattan to embrace a more authentic experience: Brooklyn!

Although the old bar is assembled, the exciting news is that a new bar will be in place soon, in a a couple of months.

Meanwhile, we're in the mood tonight for some Black Russian. One of the many drinks with tricky names, as its origin is in Belgium. You like Coffee? you like vodka? then this is your drink.

- 2 Oz Vodka (I used Beluga)
