We also offer the perfect setting for private gatherings of all sizes, complete with the c

harm and flair that only the Velvet Elk Lounge can provide. Whether it's a lively party or an elegant soirée, let us set the stage for your special occasion. This space has been home to many Boulder businesses including a Cadillac dealership, a bowling alley, a long-standing travel agency, and now a palace of music and fun. Boulder locals and Lounge favorites are joining us this Saturday 8pm! Since 2013, Wild Love Tigress has been working hard to bring 1970s-style funk and soul into the 21st century. An eight-piece band complete with horns, background singers and the full spectrum of hairstyles, Wild Love Tigress plays an energetic mix of hard-grooving funk and electric blues rock, combining danceable grooves with thoughtful songwriting and high-caliber musicianship.

Named one of Denver’s most exciting new restaurants by 5280, is leaving the city for one night only — popping up at Boulder’s Velvet Elk Lounge on June 2nd.

Settle in for a 5-course family-style dinner that tells the story of two chefs: Travis Masar’s lifelong obsession with Asian cuisines and Darren Chang’s food memories growing up in a Taiwanese household — brought together by 25+ years of combined culinary experience. (The name? Their Chinese zodiac signs. Darren: Pig. Travis: Tiger.)

Expect Taiwanese classics, modern favorites, and bold new interpretations — all made with local Colorado ingredients. Optional beverage pairings available. Vegetarian options provided. $70 per person.

ANNOUNCING!

Hailing from the lively music scene of Boulder, Colorado, Huck n’ Pray formed in fall 2023 through deep dorm jams and pop-up performances on campus. A shared love for Phish, Grateful Dead, and King Gizzard united lead guitarist Cory Shishik with rhythm guitarist Fintan Canning when they met on their first day of college. The two became inseparable and knew that they had to form a band, but were missing a rhythm section. The parking lot of a Phish concert is where the duo met drummer Axel Pearson, and the addition of bassist Will Berbaum completed the group’s lineup a short while later.
