Pasha Entertainment, the operators of several restaurants and nightlife destinations in Downtown Boston, is a proud partner of the Bostonian Hotel. We are now hiring a Line Cook and Prep Cook for the restaurant within the Bostonian Hotel. The Bostonian Hotel is conveniently located steps from Faneuil Hall in the heart of Boston.
Dining is making a come back as COVID-19 restrictions begin to ease. We also provide Food & Beverage for events along with Room Service. Room Service is an essential service for 4 & 5 Star Hotels, allowing guests to order food and drink to be brought directly to their rooms. As a Food & Beverage Server, your goal is to provide excellent service to our hotel guests.
Food preparation and/or professional kitchen experience is a must. Hotel experience is preferred, but not required.
Responsibilities:
Hospitably greet whenever customer facing, prep food displays / dining carts, and provide servers with a detailed description of menu items according to Bostonian Hotels food & beverage service standards.
Abide by all State, Federal and Corporate requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages.
Prepare station for readiness prior to opening and closing of each shift.
Set up and stock food items and other necessary supplies.
Prepare food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces, sides and mains.
Cook food items by grilling, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards.
Perform all side work duties according to side work schedules.
Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
Perform any other job related duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, customers and patrons.
Ability to use point of service computer.
Full knowledge of state liquor laws.
Ability to transport large trays weighing up to 30lbs. through a crowded room on a continuous basis throughout shift with or without reasonable accommodation.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences, such as effectively communicating with supervisors, coworkers, public etc.
