Calling all BPOE Members!! 🦌💙
Do you know your state’s Major Project? The West Virginia Elks Major Project Camp has existed for a very long time, but many members don’t know much about it!
Every summer in Princeton, we host camp for 120+ individuals with disabilities, completely free for them and their families. Camp runs in two 5-day overnight sessions filled with swimming, bowling, themed activities, wrestling , and nightly dance parties 🏊🎳🤼💃🕺
📅➡️This year, camp will be held July 15th-24th⬅️📅
Lodges across the state already support camp in amazing ways by providing some of our meals, snacks, supplies, etc., and it makes a huge difference. Some individual members opt-in to adding money to their dues that goes directly to camp funds. Unfortunately, not many Elks are able to make it to camp each year, so we haven’t been able to thank them in person! We’d love to change that.
This is your chance to experience first-hand what you help make possible. It’s one of those things that can’t always be fully understood until you’re there—helping with activities, pitching in where needed, and being part of the fun (and a little chaos… only the good kind of course).
Our state major project brings the principles of the BPOE to life, simply by being part of the family.
We know it can be a bit of a drive depending on where you’re coming from, so we wanted to share early to give you time to consider us part of your summer plans. If you’ve ever thought about getting more involved, this is a great place to start.
We need help in a few areas, and we’ll have a full list in the pinned comment so you can see where you might fit best 📌
No experience needed. No cost. Just come willing to help and prepared to have a blast.
📩 Message us! We’d love to have you at camp this year 💙💛
