Dear Nested Micro Dancers and Supporters,
Here is a long letter. Photo for algorithm

Thank you so much for attending Nested Micro at any time so far over the past year + that we have been running. Thank you for helping us build this intentional space.
We have held a closed container Micro Fusion event in order to carefully craft a space for two reasons: 1. To build a technical understanding and the shared trust needed for compression based frames and 2. To foster the “Micro Mindset.” The intent of this event is to slow down, find presence in the moment, use the time and space to delve into your senses, into your creative space, into a flow state, and/or into an emotional space that feeds you.
Over the past year, we have seen the closed container help to foster both of these intentions, and you have been a key part of helping us co-create and maintain the space. Over the past few months we’ve seen you all holding onto the technique and the mindset, and helping it thrive. The “nest” is feeling well established and ready to grow sustainably.
To that end, while we will maintain the intent of the closed container, we are inviting some of you to join us in partnership to strengthen the intent and culture of Nested Micro so that we can maintain a strong and inclusive culture while also making the boundaries more flexible to accommodate some growth:
Keepers of the Nest
Dancers who are “Keepers” of the nest, are able to find and maintain presence in the micro brain space. Keepers can show up anywhere and model the micro mindset, and fundamental elements of micro technique. These dancers understand that showing up to class when they’re able to will help build the community. They want to share their experience with newer dancers, and see the micro space continue to thrive. The Keepers at other times may pass through the nest’s boundaries, and join the container at any time, without disturbing it.
To be designated a Keeper, dancers need to:
Have attended the Nested Micro class at least twice and/or be able to demonstrate how mutual investment works.
Model the micro mindset at Nested Micro specifically (and other micro events too).
Understand Nested Micro’s Code of Conduct, and be an active member of upholding and shaping the culture inside of Nested Micro events.
You have demonstrated that your coming and going at events maintains respect for the physical, mental, and emotional space of everyone in attendance.
Sign up to be considered. Please only sign up once a quarter.
Benefits of being a Keeper:
We will send you 1-2 emails a month. Mostly just letting you know the door code so you can join the container at any time during the event, so you’re freed from the 30 min entrance window.
You may attend class only when it works for you to help the community continue to thrive by having experienced dancers present. (Should the need arise, we reserve the right to ask you to show up for the class for the next event you attend in order to maintain your Keeper designation.)
Being a Keeper is building trust and forming a mutual investment between Nested Micro and you. It is both a privilege and a responsibility. Please don’t abuse it to further status, power over anyone, form cliques, or exclusions. The intent is to support you in feeling empowered to help grow this community and co-create the intentional space in a way that is more flexible and allows for personal and collective growth.
Ambassadors of the Nest:
Ambassadors will be few, and designated by personal invite only. To be an Ambassador you need to have an in depth understanding of compression based frame and micro so that you can teach it to folks.
To be designated an Ambassador, dancers need to:
Have been a Keeper (or have equivalent community experience) for at least 6 months.
Have attended the Nested Micro class at least four times and be able to teach how mutual investment works.
Model the micro mindset at Nested Micro specifically and at other micro events, recognize the micro mindset in others, and have a desire to invite new folks into micro.
Understand Nested Micro’s Code of Conduct, and be an active member of upholding and shaping the culture inside Nested Micro events AND sharing micro cultural values and practices outside at other Fusion and Micro events.
You have demonstrated that your coming and going at past events maintains respect for the physical, mental, and emotional space of everyone, and there have been times you’ve actively contributed to improving the space for others.
Come talk one-on-one to a Nested Micro host about the possibility of being considered.

You may bring new folks to Nested Micro at any time during the event, assuming you know they have an understanding of compression based frame, and Nested Micro’s values. You are responsible for ensuring their coming and going stays congruent with the Nested space, and doesn’t disturb other dancers.

So come out and dance. We will have a sign up at our event be it for these roles or an overall email list. Facebook is getting worse and worse and we want to create small systems for people to keep up to date with us without
