Today, our hearts are heavy as we join the world—and especially our home in East Tennessee—in mourning the passing of the incredible Dolly Parton.

​Dolly was so much more than a music icon; she was the beat of these mountains and a bright light to everyone who called East Tennessee home. From her humble beginnings in a Sevier County cabin to the global stage, she never forgot where she came from. She invested endlessly back into our community, lifting up our local economy and bringing hope whenever disaster struck.

​Beyond the songs and the smiles, her legacy as a philanthropist transformed millions of lives. Through the Imagination Library, she put over 150 million books into the hands of children worldwide, sparked by a deep love for her father and a mission to make sure every child could learn to read and dream big.

​From all of us at Destination Ci**rs, rest in peace, Dolly. Thank you for the music, the books, the heart, and the unwavering love you gave to East Tennessee and the world. You will always be our mountain queen. 🤍✨
