Had an incredible time this past weekend at in Austin, Texas!🤘🔥

One of the coolest things about ILLfest is that it’s more than just a music festival. The event brings together live music, massive art installations, muralists, street artists, and performers from all over the world for one of the most unique festival experiences in Austin.

This year I got to see artists like Excision, GRiZ, JAUZ, NGHTMRE, Crankdat, and many more while also checking out incredible artwork being created live throughout the festival grounds. Everywhere you looked there was something happening, whether it was a huge stage production, a new mural coming to life, or artists showing off their work.

If you’ve never been, I’d definitely recommend adding it to your Austin bucket list.

Already looking forward to next year. Cheers!👏

Got home quicker on a Friday at 5 than I did on a Wednesday at 5pm wild

Right across the street from Stubbs is one of downtown Austin’s best pregame spots for frozen margaritas 🍹🌳

Pelons Tex Mex has a margarita flight with mango, jalapeño, prickly pear, and hibiscus flavors, but honestly the patio might be the coolest part. One of their outdoor spaces is built around a massive oak tree that’s reportedly over 500 years old, making it feel like you’re drinking margaritas in a treehouse hidden in downtown Austin.

People online constantly rave about the patio vibe, frozen margs, queso, and how clutch this spot is before concerts at Stubbs or nights out in the Red River district.

Happy hour runs Monday through Friday from 3pm to 6pm:
🍹 $6 frozen or rocks margaritas
🍺 $4 draft beer
🧀 $6 queso, guac, flautas, mini quesadillas & more

Definitely one of those spots that feels way more “classic Austin” than people expect when they first walk by it.

Cheers! Follow for more bars & cocktail in Austin Texas

One of the coolest bars in Austin, Texas is hiding a piece of New York City history right off South Lamar. 🍸

Inside this spot sits the ORIGINAL 1866 Cedar Tavern bar from Greenwich Village in NYC, the same bar connected to legends like Bob Dylan, Hendrix, Kerouac, Allen Ginsberg, and Jackson Po***ck. They literally transported the entire bar to ATX piece by piece.

Now it’s tucked inside Eberly serving incredible cocktails, martinis, burgers, steak frites, oysters, and one of the better happy hours in the 512. $7 martinis, $5 snacks, and $10 burgers until 7pm.

The vibe feels like old New York mixed with South Austin. Dark wood, low lighting, amazing cocktails, and one of the most unique bar experiences in Austin.

Silver Medal truly is one of the best dive bars in Austin, Texas.

No fake “dive bar aesthetic,” no overpriced cocktails trying too hard to be retro. Just cheap beer, strong pours, pool tables, a jukebox, random movies playing behind the bar, and a patio full of people that somehow all feel like regulars.

They’ve got some of the best dive bar food in Austin too. Smashburgers, chili dogs, $2 Jello shots, and the kind of atmosphere that makes one drink accidentally turn into six.

This is the type of Austin bar people are talking about when they say they miss old Austin. 🍺

Austin asked for more day parties… East End Ballroom said bet

This spot in East Austin has been doing sunset DJ parties on the patio and it’s honestly such a good setup for weekend drinking.

But the craziest part might actually be the happy hour.

$5 petite martinis weekdays from 5 to 7pm 🍸

And they have this giant watermelon margarita for $90 that says it serves 8 people… but I swear it could feed a small village.

Food was solid too. The bulgogi steak tacos, coconut fried shrimp, and cheeseburger all hit. Plus they’ve got espresso martinis, frozen cocktails, champagne, DJs outside, and a huge patio setup.

Feels like one of those spots you can pull up for “one drink” and accidentally stay all day.

If you’ve been looking for a good East Austin happy hour, Austin patio bar, or somewhere for daytime drinks and DJs, definitely put East End Ballroom on the list.
