A little about Jessica:
Milwaukee native but moved to Green Bay in 2010. English Creative Writing Degree from UW Milwaukee. She is currently editing her first full length novel set in Ancient Egypt. Besides her day job and writing, she loves to play dungeons & dragons and bake. Also a fan of fashion! Jessica and her husband take care of an elderly, wheel-chair bound cat named Pippin. He's a champ!
A little about her works:
Eye of a Needle (novella; thriller/horror) published by Black Hare Press: Set in 1930's depression era North Carolina, a young woman uses her ability to speak to the dead at religious revival shows. Her journey to navigate her ability, as well as uphold the pressures of her father and Preacher Dawson, lead her to examine her future in society, as well as investigate the disappearance of her mother. Think "Grapes of Wrath" meets "The Sixth Sense."
-Sincerely, the HOA (short story; dark humor/horror) published by Horns & Rattles Press: part of an anthology of flora and fungi horror stories in "Bitter Become the Fields. The Neighborhood is a sterile, monoculture oasis for those who enjoy simplicity and order. When native plants begin to spring up and threaten their way of life, can the Neighborhood withstand nature's relentless path to destroy a rigid way of life?
