The Saint Luis Rey Tabacales is kind of fun (you know who you are) to pronounce wrong. It’s also a blast to light up. The Tabacles is a solid medium in strength and body, well-constructed, with enough complexity and flavor to make you pat yourself on the back for adding it to your regular lineup.

The Tabacales is part of Saint Luis Rey’s new foray into the Dominican Republic, and it features Dominican, Nicaraguan, and Cameroon leaf.

Peterson Pipe of the Year, Pipe Night!

Thursday is Pipe Night at Bruce’s! 4:00-8:00.

And starting today, we’ve got a very special collection of new pipes in the shop: Peterson’s Pipe of the Year!

Here’s the lowdown:

For 2026, Peterson’s Pipe of the Year is the 493 Squat “Cad” Bulldog, inspired by one of Peterson’s oldest and most distinctive shapes. Appearing in Peterson’s catalog as early as 1896, the “Cad” Bulldog features a broad, low-slung, horizontal bowl, its breadth and stoutness reflecting the marque’s characteristically muscular shaping aesthetic.

Each of these Pipe of the Year pieces is fitted with Peterson’s patented P-Lip mouthpiece and a bright silver accent — honoring the Irish firm’s celebrated engineering and silverwork.

Individually serialized and limited to 1,100 pieces globally, this release also celebrates 30 years of Peterson’s Pipe of the Year series.
