We're bringing back a favorite from a few years past - the Tokyo Vice. Toki Japanese whiskey, house-made yuzu syrup, Midori, black lemon bitters, topped with sparkling water and tonic. Bright, slightly sweet, with a beautiful bite of whiskey on the tongue. Come get yours before we sell out and say goodbye to the Vice for another few years. 🍋

And we're BACK. We said bye to Mei Mei, we had our lake party, and now we're back to keep shaking things up with some crazy jazz accompanied by amazing food trucks.

❓ Every Sunday is trivia with DumbAshe Trivia! 6-8pm, join our bar team and Harmon in a fun few hours of questionable competition. Always fun, and everyone usually leaves happy. Possibly with a $50 Jumbo gift card.
🎷 Monday, June 15th - The Core is what happens when five musicians with no business being in the same band end up becoming the most natural ensemble in Asheville, and they're joining up in our living room.
🎸 Tuesday, June 16th - Sanders, Boyd, Page & Hall distill the pure essence of improvisational expression, converging as alchemists of sound, transmuting musical elements into their most essential forms. This quartet embodies the philosophical concept of quintessence—the fifth element beyond earth, air, fire, and water, representing the fundamental substance from which all musical reality springs.
🎲 Game night game night, every Wednesday. 5-9pm, but if the party goes on longer, we won't mind. Just let us know who won.

Hi! We’re back from the lake and open for regular hours :)

Enjoy these pictures of my favorite weirdos. Every single one of them is just the absolute light of my life and I can’t believe I’m lucky enough to be on their team. I say it a lot but it never feels like I can fully express that I get work alongside TRULY the best staff in town. The way they support each other and love each other so fully is so rare.

I’m so lucky, and I’m so grateful.

Team, you are loved appreciated more than I could ever say out loud.

And congrats to Haile’s Angels for winning Beerlympics, haha.

Our dear Mei is parting ways for a while to move a little farther than we’d like - that’s why we’re inviting you to come say “See you soon!” to Mei before she moves along. Saturday, June 13th, you can see Mei as she slings some bottles at Little Jumbo and accepts all of your love. We’re sad to see her go, but we’re happy to share her with you on her last shift: the more love, the merrier.

We love you incredibly, Mei. Little Jumbo & Character Study are all the better because you’ve been here. We know this isn’t goodbye, but an until later. We’ll be thinking of you and missing you every single day. Collect all the miniatures, play all the Animal Crossing, kick school’s ass, and don’t you dare forget your Asheville family because we’d be very sad. See you soon Mei Mei. Our hearts belong with you. ❤️

It’s that time of year! Your favorite Little Jumbo and Character Study crew are headed to the lake on June 10th. We return on June 12th for normal hours of service (4pm-11pm for Little Jumbo, 4pm-12am for Character Study) because we’ll miss you way too much.
Thank you for making Little Jumbo & Character Study everything we are. We couldn’t do this without our amazing regular faces and newbies alike. We appreciate you waiting for us, and we can’t wait to be back with you (even though we haven’t left yet.)

TRIVIA SUNDAYS! Yeah, we're still doing that. It's too fun, and makes it something all too memorable. The winner gets a $50 gift card to indulge in Jumbo, either immediately after their win or whenever they feel like hanging with us again.
🎶 Monday, June 1st - Trombonist Nick Garrison brings a quintet to Little Jumbo for an evening rooted in the lineage he has spent his life studying, the long thread that runs from New Orleans parade music through straight-ahead jazz and into whatever the players in the room make of it tonight. Expect deep-cut standards, traditional tunes pulled from the source, and originals shaped by twelve years of work between Baton Rouge, Lafayette, and the Crescent City. (and a food truck!)
🥁 Tuesday, June 2nd - The tried and true, Sanders, Boyd, Page & Hall. Come for some new tunes and some old, but they always make it feel as if you're hearing it all for the first time - and you might be. 7-10pm. Get ready to sway and cheer.
