"The Fifth Element" was our first GTM-MST3K party. Participants join a GoToMeeting web conference and drink adult beverages while watching the same movie and making rude remarks about it. Usually by 1/4-1/2 of the way through the films there has been sufficient alcohol intake that the comments get quite rude and poignant. It was a huge success and is now slated to become a regular Blue Room activity!

OK last night was a real treat. Mad Men season opener and we invented a new cocktail:
Fresh tart strawberries with a deep vanilla simple syrup, lemon Ketel-1, over ice. Really smooth with complex interplay of flavors. Preliminary name is "Blue Room Special". Please reply with more ideas.

Tonight was low key but festive. A couple of movies and the requisite carbonated white pinot noir. It's cliche, but 2014 promises to be a year of accomplishment and improvement for The Blue Room and its denizens. We all hope the same for you.
