Some partnerships leave a mark. This was one of them. 💗
Wednesdays this summer, we had the privilege of pulling up the Mixie trailer and spending the evening with the Alexandria Community Wood Fired Oven.
And somewhere along the way, it became about so much more than serving drinks.
Week after week, we got a front-row seat to what this incredible group does for our community. They bring people together over pizza, music and a summer evening — but behind all of that is a much bigger purpose. Each week shines a light on local nonprofits, organizations, teams and causes doing important work right here in our community.
What impressed us most were the people behind it all. The volunteers who show up week after week. The work that happens long before the first pizza goes into the oven. And the genuine heart behind wanting to make Alexandria a little better by supporting the people and organizations already doing good work.
We are incredibly grateful that you made room for Mixie to be a small part of it this summer.
To the entire Alexandria Community Wood Fired Oven crew — thank you for welcoming us, supporting our little pink trailer, and most importantly, for everything you continue to pour back into this community.
We admire what you've built, and we're pretty lucky to have people like you doing what you do right here in Alexandria.
