Anthony Riggins, Jr was “LIP” to most who knew him well and to many more he was Tony. It did not matter so much to him which name we used because the more important part was his name for us! He had a name for everyone. It may change based on what he was thinking about in the moment but you were special to him and that’s one of the ways he let you know it. Another way was his parties. He had these great house parties and everyone wanted to attend. He knew how to party!! He rolled out the red carpet for his friends. I see him coming through the doors at The Jazz. He was a regular and faithful friend to William “Billy” Noble, the staff and friends of The Jazz. We waited for the day that he would walk through those doors again at 730 Highland Avenue but he received a better invitation. We will miss our friends but we have some wonderful memories from our years together.
