What is the life cycle of the c*nnab1s plant
Germination phase - this is the initial break of the shell, usually caused by water exposure, (paper towels, soil, rockwool)
seedling stage - This is when the seed as fully "popped" (opened) and the root system and first leafs emerge. Lighting is not a priority yet. This is when bulk seeds could be opened to search for the genetics , phenotypes or pur simply, what plants are good to keep growing.
Vegetative stage - This is when the initial nutrients, foliar sprays and care starts to become important as the plant focuses on a boost of growth. This stage focuses on stem and root production. The better the genetics, grower and care the bigger the plant can grow during this phase.
Late vegetative state - This is when a plant may be "trained" by topping, lollypoping, bending ect. This is to help create more "node sites" that promote larger bud growth and removes waste energy from the lower canopy leaves to the upper leaves. Ready for flower formation
Flowering stage - usually triggered by light, temperature and environmental changes this triggers the plant to slow down vegetative growth and start to product their reproductive flowers (the bud) The better nutrients, lights, and care up to this point affects the quantity and quality of the end harvest.
Flushing - This is an important stage when it comes to the end product. If chemicals, nutrients and other additives have accumulated in both the soil and plants then flushing the plant with neutral water helps remove the built up salts and chemicals in the plant. This provides a cleaner end product which can show in the smoke produced.
White ash can often be a sign of good flushing, clean smooth smoke can also indicate good curing and flishing
Curing stage - Often very undervalued curing the plant determines its
shelf life
taste
harsh or smooth smoke
well cured product can stay shelf stable for longer, taste more clear, cause less coughing
