💙 A MESSAGE TO OUR MUSTACHE FAMILY
Hey everyone,
We know many of you have been wondering what’s happening with Mustache, why we suddenly closed, and when we’re coming back. You’ve been part of this community for years, so we feel you deserve a proper explanation.
Last month, during an official inspection, we found ourselves in a complicated situation regarding the building’s licensing and documentation. At the time of the inspection, the documents required for us to continue operating could not be provided, and we therefore had to close.
Rather than rushing to reopen or trying to find a temporary solution, we decided to use this moment to secure Mustache’s future properly.
And there is some very good news.
Last week, we signed a new long-term agreement directly with the building owner for the next 13 years. ❤️
For us, this is a huge step. It gives Mustache a real long-term home and allows us to move forward on a much stronger foundation.
Right now, we are working through the necessary licensing, documentation and requirements before reopening. Things are progressing positively, but we don’t want to announce a reopening date until we know we can stand behind it.
And there is even more good news: we are currently in the process of applying for a club license, which would allow us a legal opening time until 4 a.m., as the building is officially considered an entertainment zone. This is very good news for us and for the future of Mustache.
Our goal is the first weekend of September. 🤞
But please understand that this is our target, not a confirmed date yet.
We know being closed is frustrating. Believe us, nobody wants those doors open more than we do.
But Mustache has never just been four walls and a dance floor. It’s the DJs, the staff, the crazy nights, the friendships and all of you who have supported us through every chapter.
So we’d rather take a few extra weeks, do everything properly, and come back stronger — with a home we can continue building for many years.
Thank you for all the messages, the support and for asking when we’re coming back.
We’re working on it. Things are moving in the right direction.
And when those doors open again, we’ll have lot to celebrate together. 💙
