The firecrackers started at midnight last night as Thai-Chinese families now visit and give offerings to the Chinese temple, observing rituals to ward off bad spirits and promote good luck for the Year of the Snake 🐍 On Wednesday, the lion and dragon will parade through the village to bless the houses culminating in a show outside the temple. Cafe Talay will be open if you also fancy some good food and drinks on the beach under the first new moon of the year 🌚
