We are still coming down from Saturday. Taman Rasa 001 was everything we hoped it would be, and we are endlessly grateful to everyone who came down to share it with us.
There is a wonderful kind of magic to Foo Chow Building. When we conceptualized this, we really wanted to throw a party that transported you back to the past: a nod to the golden days of secret party gatherings where there were no heavy club lights, just an open room and yourself with the dancefloor.
To all the OGs who pulled up, held down the floor, and reminded us of how this scene started: we see you, and we appreciate you.
A massive shoutout to our local DJs (🎶 Dean Chew 🎶 / Daryl Chan / Bobby Luo / ₛᵤffyₐₙ / Tropika) for laying down the absolute perfect foundation before Moodymann gave us a masterclass in soul and everything in between... (ya'll heard he dropped them classics!). And to the roller skaters (CLUB MISMATCH) who glided through the crowd all afternoon to night: you brought an infectious energy to the space that we will never forget.
We say it often, but it truly takes a village. To our entire RASA community for trusting us as we stepped out of our home base and into the wild, thank you. You made our first gathering out of our space at Republic Plaza incredibly special.
Rest up, and we’ll see you back at home base this weekend. 🏠
