Receive a complimentary Yusheng with a minimum of 4 Lunar New Year Sets.
In Singapore, Yusheng is a dish eaten during the Lunar New Year, not quietly, and never alone.
Its roots trace back to southern Chinese fishing communities, where raw fish was served to mark the start of the year and wish for abundance. Over time, this simple dish evolved in Southeast Asia, particularly in Singapore, into what it is today: a vibrant platter of shredded vegetables, raw fish, and condiments, each chosen for its symbolic significance. Each Ingredients carrying a meaning of prosperity, longevity, and abundance.
Then comes Lo Hei — the toss.
Chopsticks rise together. Wishes are spoken out loud:
“Lo Hei.” “Huat Ah.” “Nian Nian You Yu.”
The higher the toss, the stronger the shared hope for the year ahead. It’s not about luck alone, but about gathering, intention, and beginning the year together.
