Bruno Kramm, keyboardist and founding member of the industrial music band Das Ich, died in the early hours of Saturday morning after performing a concert in a pub in Granada. According to IDEAL, the incident occurred around midnight.
Following a call to the Andalusian Emergency Services, paramedics from 061 and National Police officers arrived at the venue to attend to the artist, but were unable to save his life.
One of the witnesses to the incident told 112 that the man who was choking and unresponsive was the keyboardist for the band Das Ich. Upon arriving at the venue, National Police officers found the man unconscious in the dressing room. 061 confirmed the death of the 58-year-old man.
The judicial protocol was then activated, and the body was removed. From the outset, the National Police considered the death to be from natural causes, and therefore no investigation has been opened.
Extensive musical career
The band Das Ich, founded in 1989, consisted of Bruno Kramm and Stefan Ackermann. For decades, the group earned its place in European industrial music by blending post-punk, darkwave, and the power of industrial gothic, all within a neoclassical atmosphere featuring German philosophical texts and a highly theatrical stage show.
After years without releasing new music, the group returned to live performances with the presentation of their latest album, 'Fanal', "composed from the wreckage of human achievements and shattered ideals."
With "their unique fusion of electronic-symphonic sounds, expressionist lyrics, and raw industrial elements," Stefan Ackermann and Bruno Kramm presented this work in Spain. They already played on September 11th in Zamora and on September 12th in Madrid.”
