Some nights ask for brighter lights. Last night preferred the shadows.

Eirwud Mudwasser set the tone before Facets pulled the Berlin Room through dark synths, acid, electro and EBM, keeping the floor somewhere between tension and release.

Front Room, Daniel and Fahed stitched together leftfield electronics and bass-driven detours, proving once again that the best discoveries rarely arrive where you expect them.

A sound rooted in Eastern European influences and Brooklyn’s leftfield underground, his sets move between hypnotic grooves and shadowy club textures. Joining him, Eirwud Mudwasser draws from a decade of exploration, weaving psychedelic house, cosmic oddities and deep electronics into immersive journeys.

Tuesday night belonged to Bilal.

The Grammy-awarded soul visionary turned a sold-out Control into a room built on love, the night's recurring theme, and improvisation.

From "Soul Sista" to a tribute to D'Angelo, extended instrumental passages and moments where Bilal simply danced and grooved, every part of the set felt beautifully unplanned.

You followed every twist and every note, and the genuine emotion that flowed both ways made this performance hard to forget.

Facets traces a line from a life changing sunrise at EXIT Festival to the shadowy edges of Brooklyn’s underground. Behind the alias is Boris Knezevic, a DJ, producer and Samo Records founder whose sound draws from new beat, EBM, electro, acid and Italo disco. Through his label, edits and acclaimed releases, he has built a world where Eastern European roots meet leftfield club culture.

This is the story behind the sound (which you’ll get to witness in the Berlin Room this Friday, July 10).

Tropical dancing took over Control last Friday as Rolando Bruno - Cumbia Trash arrived with his wonderfully unclassifiable world of "cumbia trash."

Armed with a guitar, his faithful Orquesta MIDI and a seemingly endless supply of charm, Bruno proved that one person is more than enough to fill a room.

His playful collision of chicha, garage rock and homemade backing tracks quickly won over the room. People stopped overthinking and started moving - and 3 encores later, Buenos Aires felt surprisingly close to Bucharest.
