Na sexta-feira, 28.08, o SPIKES viveu uma tarde inesquecível dedicada ao mezcal, à cultura do agave e à mixologia.

Mario Teruel, Agave Spirits Ambassador e Global Legacy Expert da KOCH Mezcal, conduziu uma masterclass tão interessante quanto cativante, partilhando cerca de 14 anos de conhecimento, histórias e experiências construídas entre o México, Londres e algumas das principais comunidades de agave.

O encontro prolongou-se com um guest shift incrível, marcado por cocktails surpreendentes e diferentes expressões de agave, apresentadas através da visão e criatividade de Mario.

Uma experiência muito apreciada por todos os presentes e uma verdadeira celebração da KOCH Mezcal, uma referência entre os mezcais tradicionais mexicanos, reconhecida pelo respeito pelas comunidades, pelos métodos artesanais e pela identidade de cada agave.

On Friday, August 28th, SPIKES enjoyed an unforgettable afternoon dedicated to mezcal, agave culture and mixology.

Mario Teruel, Agave Spirits Ambassador and Global Legacy Expert for KOCH Mezcal, led a fascinating and captivating masterclass, sharing nearly 14 years of knowledge, stories and experience built between Mexico, London and some of the leading agave communities.

The experience continued with an incredible guest shift, featuring remarkable cocktails and different expressions of agave, all presented through Mario’s vision and creativity.

A memorable event enjoyed by everyone who joined us, and a true celebration of KOCH Mezcal, a leading name in traditional Mexican mezcal, recognised for its respect for local communities, artisanal production methods and the unique identity of each agave.

On July 29th, SPIKES welcomed one of Lisbon’s most exciting cocktail destinations for a guest shift that will be remembered for a long time.

Straight from PINCH Seafood Bar, Kostiantyn Hutnyk and Diogo Castella brought their distinctive vision of modern hospitality to Vale do Lobo, transforming the bar into a meeting point for creativity, craftsmanship and exceptional cocktails.

Created around Cazcabel Tequila & Citadelle Gin, in collaboration with Viriathus Drinks, the exclusive cocktail menu showcased bold flavours, elegant balance and unexpected combinations. Every serve reflected the precision, passion and personality that have made PINCH one of Lisbon’s rising names.

More than a guest shift, it was a memorable encounter between two bars that share the same passion for quality, hospitality and unforgettable experiences.

An incredible evening, remarkable cocktails, inspiring conversations and an atmosphere that reminded everyone why the best moments are always shared around a great drink.

On July 29th, SPIKES opens its bar to one of Lisbon’s most talked-about cocktail destinations.

Straight from PINCH Seafood Bar, Kostiantyn Hutnyk and Diogo Castella are bringing a fresh perspective shaped by the rhythm of one of the city’s most vibrant neighbourhoods.

As the driving force behind PINCH, Kostiantyn has built a venue where contemporary seafood, sharp hospitality and an uncompromising cocktail program naturally belong together. Behind the bar, Diogo translates that vision into drinks that are clean, expressive and ingredient-driven—always balanced, never predictable.

For one evening, they’ll take over the bar at SPIKES, presenting an exclusive menu created around Citadelle Gin and Cazcabel Tequila, in collaboration with Viriathus Drinks.

This isn’t about reproducing the PINCH experience in the Algarve. It’s about bringing its mindset: curiosity, attention to detail and cocktails designed to surprise without overcomplicating.

On June 26, SPIKES had the privilege of welcoming O***m Bar Bangkok to Portugal for the very first time.

Flying in from Bangkok, Julie and Matteo took over the bar for one incredible evening, sharing the creativity, precision, and hospitality that have earned O***m its place among Asia’s finest cocktail destinations.

This was more than just another guest shift for us. It marked only the second time SPIKES has hosted a bar from Asia featured in the Asia’s 50 Best Bars rankings, reinforcing our commitment to bringing world-class bar experiences to Portugal.

Receiving this award at the Lisbon Bar Show means a lot to us, because SPIKES has never been just a restaurant.

We are a clubhouse between two golf courses, with two cocktail bars, open 365 days a year, from 7:00am until 00:30am.
While most clubhouses close at 6pm, we keep going: breakfasts, lunches, post-golf, dinners, cocktails and late nights.

This award represents the ability to maintain quality, energy and consistency for more than 17 hours a day, every single day of the year.

Most importantly, this award belongs to the people.
To the current team, and also to everyone who has been part of SPIKES over the years and helped build what we are today.
