What was a cocktail like in the Philippines during 1900s to 1950s? Charles H Baker gave us insights in his 1946 travelogue “Gentleman’s Companion”. We revive some of the those recipes for this week’s Forgotten Wednesdays including what Charles declares as “the best julep of all” - the one he drank at the Manila Hotel in 1926.
