Well it's almost the end of an era with VERTIGO approaching the final few nights of trading before we close the doors at Tuwharetoa Street for good. But we're determined not to dwell on it and enjoy the time we have left. So we invite you to celebrate the past 4 years and party with us this final weekend.
DJ Mana will be on the decks pumping out the latest dance sounds and mixing it up with DJ Mike. It'll be an exciting blend of music, from the classic hits to the latest beats. Come party with us tomorrow night and also Saturday night for our final public END OF LEASE BLOWOUT!!
Don't forget tonight, with the girls from FLAUNTIT Promotions for our final ALL FEMALE STRIP SHOW. Bring on the weekend.

It's a sad day in the VERTIGO camp today. We've prolonged putting up this post for a week or two now, in the hope that negotiations would have had a more positive outcome. But it is now inevitable that we make this OFFICIAL PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT......VERTIGO is on the move!!!
Our lease has expired and cant be renewed due to recent Engineers Reports stating that the building has a LOW EARTHQUAKE STRENGTH RATING. For those that are not aware, our building is owned by the Crown (Government) and is designated as one of the many properties throughout NZ, for Treaty Of Waitangi Settlements. In the process of negotiations between the Crown and The Iwi, valuations Engineers Reports etc are a crucial part of the process and unfortunately for us, our lease has officially been terminated for this reason.
Some will jump to conclusions or assumptions, and have opinions and so be it. There will be rumours and gossip, but VERTIGO has been a strong product and great brand for 4 good years now and it is with great sadness that we farewell all our loyal supporters and patrons with this news. Upside..........watch this space.

Once again, we are proud to be the host venue for the ZERO CLASS DRIFT after party this Saturday night (the 31st of January). And to celebrate the occasion, we're holding a 'JUST ADD WATER' Wet T Shirt Competition. The winner will receive a $100 cash prize and there'll be other prizes up for grabs for the contestants as well. Anyone can enter....the more the merrier. All are welcome to come along from 9.30 onwards. Our Live DJ will be pumping out the latest and greatest Club sounds and of course Picket and the crew will be here causing all sorts of carnage. It's the annual "Vertigo Cruiser Beach Party and Bikini Comp". Heat 1 was held last weekend and it was a spectacular event with an awesome turnout and some great contestants competing. Heat 2 and the final is tonight, Saturday the 10th of January. A total of $1000 in cash is still up for grabs and can be won tonight, plus many other very cool prizes including DVD Players, entertainment vouchers and more.
