Film Camp 2015: New Camp added due to demand.

With overwhelming enthusiasm for Film Camp 2015 (Oct 5th till 9th ), we have decided to add a second Film Camp for the first week of the School Holidays to cope with the demand. The second film Camp will run from Monday Sept 28th till Friday Oct 2nd with the screen date being Oct 9th for both Camps.

So...
The two camps will run during the Sept/Oct school holidays...
Monday Sept 28th till Friday October 2nd 9am till 4pm daily (new dates added)
and
Monday Oct 5th till Friday 9th 9am till 4pm daily (original dates)

The camp is limited to 15 students aged between 9 and 15 and runs daily from 9 till 4pm at the Playhouse. Participants will script, produce, film, edit and screen their film over week, with help of Nic Roland as their main tutor. Nic has a degree in Film and Media from Otago University is an ex TVNZ News Editor and director, with extensive experience as a Television and short film producer.

All aspects of making a movie are addressed during the week including costume design, makeup, acting method, lighting, film history and distribution. Kids will have a chance to film and edit their film over the week with a grand screening of their work on the Friday Night to parents friends and family.

This is a great chance for any young film maker, actor/actress, camera person, editor, set and costume designer, makeup artist or general film enthusiast to build new skills, meet like minded people and actually make a movie!

The camp costs $350 for the week, which includes 3 meals a day plus tutoring. For more information please call Nic Roland on 5402985 or email at [email protected].

Freestyle Skiing and Snowboard event, massive ramp and rail set up with 1 tonne of snow! Helps of fun for all ages. Food and drink available all night.

The Beatles and BeeGees Tribute

$25. $35 additional for 2 course buffet.
The one the only Paul Madsen hits the Playhouse with his latest offering The Beatles! And an old classic (for him) The BeeGees.
Expect all of the Beatles classics in entertaining show and his Las Vegas toured Beegee act.
