Busy times in the Club with upcoming functions and everyone getting ready for Christmas. If you would like to book in a function please get in touch as soon as you can so we can get your date secured.
Just a note on some disturbing 'rumours' that have got back to us and which we need to quell. We are not closing down! Far from it actually, with plenty of functions and events planned for the upcoming months. Please, if you hear these rumours, ask the people telling you this to get in touch with us and we will happily give them the latest factually correct information. We have an idea where some of these rumours have originated. Its very disappointing, especially for our loyal members and those working very hard behind the scenes. Unnecessary and incorrect rumours and comments affect more people than many realise.
Thank you to those members who have checked in since hearing the rumours.
THE WALL & PARKING
Everything is still on track with the wall. Thanks to Odlum's who are making a great job of it.
Traffic reminder - One way system - Come in off Studholme 2nd entrance and exit out to Lorne Street past the Bowling Clubrooms. Please DO NOT ENTER FROM LORNE STREET. This is EXIT only for the time being.
Please think about using the Courtesy Van whch is free during construction. We will get you door to door, no parking hassles and no drink driving!

DO NOT park in the staff carparks. Disabled users should park at the end of the staff parks, but please make sure you do not block access to Lorne Street. Disabled users should display their disability carparking signs at all times.
Please do not let all this work put you off coming down. We need your patronage more than ever at this time! The Club will be open normal hours.
ARMISTICE DAY 2026:

QUIZ NIGHT:
Quiz night this Friday 30th October. Kicks off at 7.30pm. All welcome!
KIDNEY SUPPORT:
The Club would like to show its support for a couple going through kidney transplant surgery in the next month or so. Robbie Close is a trotting driver and the grandson of our Patron Trevor Close. Robbie is donating a kidney to his wife and they will both be off work for some time, so we would like to do something to assist them financially. So, next Thursday night, 5th November, we'd like to invite you to come along dressed in green and join in our fundraising efforts for this couple! Thanks for your support.

8BALL/SNOOKER RESULTS:
Congratulations to some members of our 8Ball Club who were recently successful in local tournaments.
Stan Darlington and Ernie Parkinson competed in the Dave Willetts Memorial Tournament at the Te Aroha Club and won the pairs competition, while Chris Skelling won the in-house Jack & Meg Gaddes Closed Single trophy, with Cassandra Kidd runner-up.
