Stop Auckland Councils plans for cats in the Regional Pest Management Plan. Submissions close on Wednesday 28 March.
https://www.aucklandcouncil.govt.nz/have-your-say/topics-you-can-have-your-say-on/regional-pest-management-plan/Documents/feedback-form.pdf

The above form can be printed out and handed in to your local library or mailed in. There is no mention of cats (sneaky), so make sure you write that in on Question 9. You can attach other pages of your objection to it and why.

Some points you may wish to add:

I am OPPOSED the Councils proposal of the term "PEST CAT", The demonisation of a species will lead to an increase of animal abuse involving cats.

I am OPPOSED to the Councils proposal to use microchips as a
way of determining a cats status, be they companion, stray, or
feral.

I wish to remind Council of the Animal Welfare Act 1999 and the
associated MPI Companion Cats Code Of Welfare 2007, animals as
sentient beings, and cats recognised as companion animals.
Historically and in the future.

I SUPPORT council providing funding to local Cat rescue groups

I SUPPORT Public education promoting the value of desexing and
providing subsidised desexing clinics for citizens who are low
income earners.

I am OPPOSED to the conditions imposed on cats based on Ecologically Sensitive Areas as these boundaries can change at anytime with a cat and owner inadvertently being caught up in one. Including the impact this will also have on colony cats and their human carers.

Taking up residence in the he was last seen laying low under the bed avoiding the paparazzi clamouring to get a look at him from the door and outside the window. Welcome to - the best looking cat in Gulf Harbour! :P More pics when he decides to grace us with his presence and his belly gets the better of him :) On another note, can you believe we've been here nearly a year! 🐈🐈🐱🐱

Its been a while, and I'm in garden maintenance mode waiting for the bulbs to bloom and to get my backside outside and do some pruning and deheading and take some update photos. So here's 66 photos to look through in the meantime and for me to reflect on how far I have come.... :)

The flowers are bloody beautiful... apparantely they smell pretty bad too but as they have only just opened I haven't noticed any smell yet. Quite proud of this one - a few more to bloom on it yet!!

Stapelia grandiflora is a flowering plant in the Stapelia genus. It is commonly referred to as the carrion plant, starfish flower, or starfish cactus, although it is not related to cacti at all. The name "carrion plant" (due to the odor emitted by the flowers as a technique of attracting flies in areas where other pollinating insects are scarce) can also refer to similar Stapelia species as well as members of related genera, including Stapelia gigantea and Orbea variegata. Stapelia grandiflora sometimes also goes by the name of Stapelia flavirostris.

There's lots to look at along this river... We've got cats paddling a boat, cats driving a ship, beach side homes, entertainment stands, a flasher and oh yes, some cactus and succulents.
