Caretaker Classic cocktail bar inspired by the golden era of bartending. Live jazz every Sunday, Monday and Tuesday at 9pm
(903)

A New York style cocktail bar that accomodates for small groups of 6 or less, with a focus on thoughtful service, fresh fruit, fine spirits and hand cut ice. Hidden in plain sight this intimate basement bar is a destination for discerning drinkers. Choose from our ever changing menu or trust your host to suggest the perfect drink for you. Caretaker is an intimate bar committed to creating a truly welcoming atmosphere. We believe bar tending is a question of character, it's all about taking care of people and that personal interaction. We treat each shift as an opportunity to improve our craft, striving to make it perfect. We have a meticulous approach to cocktails, focusing on classics created in the 18th, 19th, and early 20th century. Caretaker is grounded in the belief that the cocktail is a simple thing and what matters is if you make it right. Every detail has been considered, from the fresh pressed juice right down to the ice in your glass. We believe simplicity is a virtue, our cocktails usually have few ingredients, allowing each individual ingredient to shine.

Kicking off our 10th birthday celebrations with a lesson from Michael Madrusan was a bit if a full circle moment for us. After all, lessons from Michael Madrusan were exactly what started us on this journey.
Not only did we learn most of what we know about cocktails from him, we also actually met working in his bar. Without Michael, Caretaker woud never have come to be.

So it only seems right that he came to share a little of that knowledge with our friend's.
He joined us to talk cocktails, make some cocktails, chat about the values that make a good bartender, and his newest book.
The Madrusan Cocktail Companion- the most recent cocktail book he and his wife Zara have written, which you have probably seen behind the bar, as it is used almost daily during service.
