We’re thrilled to announce an incredible workshop featuring the legendary Diwas Gurung aka Diwas Dai, hosted by Maia Art Foundation! This event is a must-attend for musicians, music enthusiasts, and fans alike.

We’ll kick off the evening with some music to set the mood. As the night falls, the atmosphere will be perfect for our projector. Diwas Dai will share his vast knowledge and hands-on experience. Following the workshop, there’ll be a QnA session with Diwas Dai. We’ll enjoy a jam session featuring various talented artists, also an opportunity to meet and greet each other.

Diwas Gurung, a musical prodigy, has been a beacon of support for artists, helping them with their music and careers. Born and raised in Kathmandu, Diwas moved to the U.S. in 2002 to attend Ithaca College, where he became a founding member of the band Ayurveda. Even before that, he was part of Albatross, creating the album “Hi:Fly“ while still in A levels. Diwas dai, a pioneer of the Neo Nepalese Folk sound, crafts soulful and compelling music with global influences.

This workshop is a philanthropic initiative by the Maia Art Foundation. Our goal is to bring musicians together to share knowledge, experience, and expertise. We aim to help our artists create freely and share their talent with the world, creating opportunities for artists and to preserve and promote Nepalese art and culture.

-The workshop is open to all musicians, music enthusiasts, and fans.

-While it’s not necessary, you’re welcome to bring your instrument if you’d like to participate in the jam session.
