Science Hack Day Eindhoven: Make the Future

Call for the third Science Hack Day Eindhoven in succession: Make the Future.
30 and 31 August Eindhoven is hosting the most weird event of the year in the University Gaslab.

A full weekend of of hacking, experimenting, building, failing-and-trying-again, pitching of prototypes and proof of concept things. An international community of techno geeks is having fun.

Feeling the urge to do something utterly vague but very important, and being brave enough to dare to share this?
This amazing gathering of hackers, artists, architects, designers, engineers et cetera is happening only through everybody's passionate participation.

Themes are: Life in Creation; Circular Life; Human Technology; Digital Life.
Oh yes! we also have money prizes and lighting talks and a high profile jury, and healthy food and beer...

Op 7 januari 2012 kun je het klokje rond genieten van Update 2.0.12, een manifestatie in één van de laatste, ongerepte stukjes industrieel erfgoed dat Eindhoven rijk is. Samen met diverse Eindhovense kunstenaars en artiesten trappen Dommelvallei, Zodiak Commune en Chris de Zeeuw het nieuwe jaar namelijk af in de kelders van het monumentale Natlab op Strijp S.

Wat was het fantastisch! Hacking the City is een groot succes geweest. Graag willen wij iedereen bedanken die inzet en steun hebben laten zien. Zonder deze steun hadden we het niet gered. Hou de website in de gaten. We hebben nog genoeg in petto voor de toekomst

Eindhovenaren opgepast, de Cityhackers zijn onder ons en belagen ons met hun ingrepen in de openbare ruimte. Sinds maandagavond hebben verschillende kunstenaars en vormgevers het Floraplein opgesierd met meer dan 150 gekleurde vlaggen.
