BREAKING: U.S. to resume Iran talks in Pakistan as Trump renews infrastructure threats
The United States is set to resume high-stakes talks with Iran in Pakistan, as tensions in the region continue to escalate. A U.S. delegation is expected to travel to Islamabad for another round of negotiations aimed at extending a fragile ceasefire and addressing Iran’s nuclear program.
However, uncertainty surrounds the talks after Iran signaled it may not participate, accusing Washington of making “unrealistic demands” and maintaining a naval blockade it considers a violation of the ceasefire.
U.S. President Donald Trump has also renewed strong warnings, stating that failure to reach a deal could lead to major strikes on Iran’s infrastructure, including power plants and bridges.
The situation remains tense, with recent incidents at sea and ongoing restrictions in the Strait of Hormuz adding pressure to already fragile negotiations. Global markets and security concerns continue to be impacted as both sides hold firm on their demands.
