Embracing our ancestral roots, as advocated by MATHIAS EZEAKU , risks placing umuigbo under God's judgment, as it may lead us back to practices of idolatry, immorality, and violence. Shall we go back to these practices and incur God's punishment under the guise of cultural revival? No, no, and no.
As Christians, we don't rely on physical objects or artifacts like idols for power or protection. Instead, we trust in the living God and His Word. Here are some spiritual tools and principles that can help us fight our battles in this generation:
1. _Prayer_: Communicate with God through prayer, seeking guidance, wisdom, and strength (Philippians 4:6-7, Ephesians 6:18).
2. _The Bible_: Study and meditate on God's Word, which is powerful and effective for spiritual warfare (Hebrews 4:12, Ephesians 6:17).
3. _Faith_: Trust in God's promises, provision, and protection, just like the Israelites did when they followed the Ark (Hebrews 11:1-2, 6).
4. _The Holy Spirit_: Rely on the Holy Spirit's power, guidance, and wisdom to navigate life's challenges (John 14:26, 16:13; Acts 1:8).
5. _Community_: Surround yourself with fellow believers who can offer support, encouragement, and collective prayer (Hebrews 10:24-25).
6. _Spiritual armor_: Put on the spiritual armor described in Ephesians 6:10-18, including truth, righteousness, the gospel, faith, salvation, and the Word of God.
7. _Worship and praise_: Engage in worship and praise, which can help shift the spiritual atmosphere and bring breakthroughs (Psalm 22:3, 2 Chronicles 20:21-22).
Remember, our battles are not fought with physical weapons or objects but with spiritual ones (2 Corinthians 10:3-5). By relying on these spiritual tools and principles, we can overcome challenges and emerge victorious in our walk with God.
