The abduction of is a violation of his human rights. Martins Vincent Otse (VeryDarkMan) had gone to , with his mother and friend, C-Park, to sort out an issue of unauthorized debit from VeryDarkMan's mother's account, as alleged by VDM himself, before he was arrested.
There has been no press release from any of the security agencies regarding the arrest or abduction of VDM. Neither the that is being mentioned, , or has released any statement explaining what happened and why he was picked up.
Lawyer to VDM, , has come out with a statement that VDM is being detained by the EFCC, which the EFCC has not refuted or denied.
We call on all Nigerians to rise up with one voice and demand for the EFCC to state exactly what VDM did to warrant such dehumanizing treatment or release him immediately, because an injustice to one is injustice to all.
Besides, where is the warrant for his arrest? On the orders of which court is he still held in detention after 24 hours? Is Nigeria no longer a democracy that operates within the boundaries of its constitution? Is it lawful to arrest someone for making a complaint against a bank for unauthorized debit? GTBank also needs to provide answers.
