GOODFRIENDSCLUB is a new project initiated by local penangites whom uses what they experience growing up on this island to create a network that better portrays the island with a creative touch of design towards nostalgia and the playfulness of contemporary art space. As a start, an old kopitiam had been chosen as the space for them to review their inspiration and interpretation on what it means to be a penangite.

This Wednesday, we are welcoming .kazuhiro from Hiroo Tokyo, for a special guest shift from 9PM onwards.

Opened in 2022, DBL takes its name from “Down By Law” - old-school street slang representing trust, loyalty, and unspoken connection. Inspired by the 1986 Jim Jarmusch film of the same name, DBL celebrates individuality, community, and the beauty of unexpected encounters. Built as a welcoming space for both locals and travelers, DBL has become a place in Tokyo where conversations flow as naturally as the drinks. Known for their conceptual seasonal menus and modern interpretations of classics, Kevin brings a piece if Tokyo’s cocktail scene to Penang for one night only.

Starting his hospitality journey in Sydney before making his mark across Malaysia’s cocktail scene, Darwin has built an impressive career through award-winning bars, competitions, and leading beverage programs at Jann Bar and Bar Trigona. Today, he represents Suntory Global Spirits Malaysia, inspiring and elevating the bartending community through advocacy, education, and a deep passion for craftsmanship.

Expect an evening of refined Japanese-inspired cocktails, good conversations, and a deeper exploration of the spirits from Suntory Global Spirits. See you soon!

Giovanni ( ), Group Beverage Manager of IDC (Ilham Dining Concepts) is an experienced bartender from Rome who has worked in upscale cocktail bars locally and abroad. With the experience managing bars in Barcelona and London, he has refined a distinctive and globally inspired approach to cocktail-making.

At Neo Bar, he leads a team committed to sustainability and zero-waste practices - a key distinguishing factor of the bar. They actively repurpose ingredients and collaborate with the building’s kitchens to transform kitchen discards into innovative cocktail components.

We’re welcoming our first guest shift takeover of 2026 with our homies Bryan and Sheera from YOUR MOTHER’S HOUSE this Wednesday, from 8PM onwards!

This highly anticipated concept comes from Employees Only SG alumnae Bryan Bonifacio and Sheera Rahman, whose combined expertise is shaping one of Singapore’s most exciting new cocktail destinations.

Bryan a creative powerhouse with a New York-honed foundation, transforms nostalgic classics into bold and inventive cocktails, while Sheera the heartbeat of hospitality, curates seamless service & warm energy vibe that makes every guest feel instantly at home. Throwback to our sharing session at COEX, featuring Rohan from Bar Trigona, Kim Hock from Restaurant au Jardin, and Richard from Cocos Creek Bee, hosted by Nicholas Ng.

The session explored the relationship between farmers and the F&B industry, highlighting challenges faced by local producers, sustainability from an F&B management perspective, and the importance of supporting the ecosystem through local ingredients.

We appreciate everyone who joined us from both within and beyond the industry. We hope the session deepened understanding and look forward to more sharing sessions next time. 🙌🏻
