If you've not done this yet, a visit to the Vallarta Botanical Gardens is a must. This 64 acre Garden of Eden has been consistently ranked in the top 5 international Botanical Gardens. The gardens feature hiking trails both through the native forest and the manicured garden grounds. Visitors are also welcome to swim in the Rio Horcones, the tropical river that borders the property. Bird watchers will find the most birding activity early in the morning or later in the day. The restaurant has become quite an attraction as well.
