🤍Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2026 has been announced. In the extended list (No. 51–100), Bar TRENCH came in at No. 53.
After the news broke, we received so many warm messages saying “Congratulations, TRENCH!” And when we came across a line on one site that read, “Bar TRENCH went missing for two years. Asia didn’t forget it,” a wave of emotion hit us that’s hard to put into words.
For those of us who work in this industry, nothing means more than being remembered.
If people remember us, maybe they’ll drop by on a whim. If people remember us, maybe they’ll recommend us to someone else. If people remember us, maybe they’ll fondly recall the time we shared together.
Receiving this award has shown us that TRENCH is a place people remember — and that makes us truly happy.
To everyone who thought of TRENCH when casting your vote this time. To everyone who remember, “There is a bar called TRENCH in Tokyo,” “The music there is great,” “The person next to me at the bar was interesting,” “I’d love to have that drink again”

🦗Bar TRENCH Kyoto 限定　夏メニュー
🦗TRENCH Kyoto-exclusive summer drink

日本の夏は、蚊取り線香の匂いがする。
このカクテルは、その記憶から生まれました。モダンクラシック「モスキート(蚊)」を土台に、トレンチが日本らしさを重ねて再構築。
メニューデザインは、日本の蚊取り線香の伝統的なパッケージへのオマージュです。

In Japan, summer smells like katori senkō — the mosquito coil that burns quietly through hot evenings, its thin smoke as much a part of the season as fireworks or cicada song.

This cocktail was born from that memory. Built on Sam Ross's 2017 modern classic, the Mosquito, Trench reworks it with a Japanese soul: mezcal smoke echoes the coil's rising trail, while Campari's bitterness carries the season's heat.

The menu design pays homage to the traditional packaging of Japanese mosquito coils.

I like bars just after they open for the evening. When the air inside is still cool and clean and everything is shiny and the barkeep is giving himself that last look in the mirror to see if his tie is straight and his hair is smooth. I like the neat bottles on the bar back and the lovely shining glasses and the anticipation. I like to watch the man mix the first one of the evening and put it down on a crisp mat and put the little folded napkin beside it. I like to taste it slowly. The first quiet drink of the evening in a quiet bar—that's wonderful.

🌛It’s been one month since Bar TRENCH Kyoto opened, and we couldn’t be more grateful!
We’ve welcomed so many wonderful guests — neighbors from the area, visitors from Osaka and Tokyo, and even people from around the world.
A bar is a place where all kinds of people come together and create positive energy with one another.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​ That’s the kind of social cocktail bar we’re building — one that people will keep coming back to and loving for years to come.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​
🌛おかげさまで、Bar TRENCH Kyotoはオープンしてから1カ月がたちました。
